E-Learning class blog

I have found several different site that would be very helpful for me to complete this site. Most of the are pretty much the same with just little differences the I might use from each one. But for the most part all the sites that I have found just have a periodic table that “interactive” so a lot of them say but all it is is just a link to another page with information about the specific element that was clicked on.

periodictable.com
This site is neat in that it shows an image for all the different elements on the periodic table and like most of these site if you click on one of them it will take you to a page with more information about that element. This one is one of the few that I found where if you mouse over on one of the element it will give you a snapshot of the some of the information about the element in the top middle section of the page.

www.dayah.com/periodic/
This site is probably the best looking and most interactive of all the site that I found. It has several different ways to look at the periodic table, and give you a lot of information about the element. The coolest feature that I saw on this site was the heat gauge in the top left of the table.

www.mii.org
And this site would be on of the site where I get a lot of my information about each element to fill in the content of my site with. It is a very basic site it has 118 element listed on this single page with a navigation on the left site of the page with links to all of the element.

Another feature that im going to have on my site are videos. Since im not in film i have turned to youtube to supply me with videos. I have found several interesting videos over the periodic table/ chemistry but I still not sure which ones I am going to use yet.

CssTricks.com
I just found this site today and the couple of articles and videos that I have looked through had some very helpful information about the web.

HTML Emails
The video that I watched was pretty interesting and easy to follow along with. It starts you from the beginning and explains why he is doing things a certain way instead of showing you how to do it. Its not just a basic text tutorial it uses screencasting and I think that he does it pretty well. He also references a couple of different sites that you could visit to learn more HTML emails. These site are linked above the video so that you dont have to go back into the video to write down the link.
All in all I this that this was a good e-learning experience and can be used as a good example to look at when creating a screencasting video tutorial.

The links below are a few site that I found over the topic that I am planning to do my project over. Some of them are better than the others but all give me good examples and interesting ideas how to organize different information on the site.

I like the way the they are showing several different example and the source code for each one. Also they show a lot of extra details about each example.

Canvas Cheat Sheet
I like the idea of having some sort of a cheat sheet for whatever the project might be over

Canvas Tutorial
This is just a basic tutorial but it give you alot of good information as well as example after almost every step

Painting Tutorial
This is another tutorial but it is focused on a specific project

Video
This is a video eLearning page that I found that I thought was a really good example because in the video it explains a lot about what they are trying to teach
